Downtown Coop will try to offer a variety of foods, that reflect the needs and interests of its members. We will specialize in local (when possible), natural, fair-trade, and organic foods with a wide selection of organic produce. We will also offer a selection of groceries including meat, cheese, milk, bread, dry goods and basic shopping needs.
Depending on how often you shop and what products you buy, it will be possible to save on your average grocery bill.

No, membership does not include a share in the business at this time. Downtown Coop is being established to provide families with a local grocery store that will allow access to locally grown (when available), natural, fair-trade and organic foods. Downtown Coop will be primarily member run and operated. Members will have a financial and social stake in the organization. Members, through paid fees and active participation, will invest in the mission of the Downtown Coop. These investments will go directly back into the organization, allowing members to fund the store and its member supported activities, thus controlling the essential components (product, hours of operation, projects, etc). Through active participation members will collectively shape Downtown Coop and its sustainability.
